Kubling Data Source (KUBLING
)
A Kubling instance can serve as a data source for another Kubling instance, facilitating the creation of a decentralized data mesh.
This data source falls under the database data source category, meaning it supports features like passthrough mode and additional column configuration, similar to other database sources.
When to Use Independent Kubling Instances
-
Handling Large Data Volumes:
If the data processed by the Engine is significantly large, it can be beneficial to have separate instances running on different machines. These instances can focus on a subset of data sources, especially forScript Document
types, which involve executing non-statically compiled code. -
Decentralized Management:
Decentralization allows independent teams to manage their own data domains while maintaining interoperability across the organization.
When multiple Kubling instances are connected to each other as data sources, they form a mesh, which should not be confused with a cluster. This distinction is important because, for example, cache entries are not shared across Kubling instances and remain instance-private.
